We started a tradition a few years ago of having breakfast at mom and dad’s then having a day to hang out and celebrate together. This year we went out to mom and dad’s Christmas Eve morning.
Having a little fun in the kitchen..
Ella helped mom make the butter cookies for Christmas Day.
3 generations making Granny’s special cookies.
FUN family picture!!
Granna and Ella in front of the beautiful tree. Next up…. present time!
Her first dollhouse.
Spoiled by Pops and Granna! They got her a beautiful, flower necklace with a small diamond in the middle. Why?……because she said she wanted a diamond for Christmas. Haha!! Wonder if that would work if I tried it?!
Ella’s first dress up outfit. Thanks Tesa and Uncle Matt!
“Let me show you how Granna!”
Ella made each family a mug that says “The sun is up” and has her hands prints around it like she is holding the mug. We were excited about them and Ella had so much fun making them. She always says its time to get up when the sun is up. I was sad to find out that the paint doesn’t stay on the cup. Luckily, I discovered it through rinsing our mug out and warned the others to not use it! Oops…good idea though!
Sweet face
Mom and Dad gave Matthew and Theresa a swing for their backporch, but first wrapped up a paper with clues. They didn’t figure it out until they saw the box.
Mom and Dad each got each other shirts with the same color scheme. Funny!
After a change in clothes (Ella LOVES her “pay-gees”) we finished with stockings.
Ella got her first little bible from mom and dad. Inside was a notecard that had my granny’s writing on it. It was something she kept instead her own bible. It says:
“God is so good, God is so good, He’s so good to me.”
Man, I sure miss that sweet red head!
Trying out the mistletoe ornaments.
Pops and Ella giving it a try too!
Pops and Ella took a little snooze before it was time to get ready to head over to Memaw’s. Such a fun and relaxing morning to spend with each other. Great memories are always made when we are together and this year was no different!
