Ella's first cousin was born!  

Zachary Allen Knight

9lbs 2 oz

21 inches long

We got a phone call from Granna early that morning saying Uncle Matt and Tesa had been at the hospital for awhile.  We hopped out of bed and headed that way.  Although, Uncle Matt told us not to rush over.  Please!!  I was not going to miss my first nephew being born!  

We waited....

.....and took a little nap.

Finally able to hear good news from Uncle Matt that baby Zachary was here!

It was finally Ella's turn to hold Zachary.  She was SOO excited and just fell in love with him.

We headed back the next day to check on Zachary, Theresa and Matthew and, of course, get a few more snuggles.

Since it was summer time, Ella and I were able to hang out at Matthew and Theresa's house and lend a helping hand while Theresa was recovering.

Ella makes a great babysitter!

Back for another day of helping.

Loved this moment.....we sent Theresa off to her room and made her close the door so she could nap.  I put Zachary to sleep in my arms and Ella asleep on the couch beside me.  

Look at that smile!

Ella just thinks "baby Zachary" is the best thing since sliced bread.  The morning after Zachary was born, Ella's first words when she woke up were "I am so happy baby Zachary is here!"  She might just call him baby Zachary forever!
