We continued to have a fun day out in the water. Let’s call it the calm before the storm. Here’s a glimpse of the gang.

As you can see, the water started to get rough. We had no idea that a storm was headed our way.
Ella is taking cover from the sprinkles that started coming down. That’s when we realized we needed to get on the boat. The winds started coming in harder and the boat started to push up to the shore. We had to get everyone on the boat and fast! The guys were holding the rope that was keeping the boat pulled in the opposite direction. They didn’t have time to let go of the rope and climb on board. The wind was blowing too fast, so they hung out on the beach while we drifted out in to the lake and waited the storm out. It didn’t take long for the storm to move through and when we came back to shore, this is what we found…….
They look like stranded islanders. We laughed and laughed. After the storm passed over, the waters calmed down and all was good. Everyone climbed back out into the water and continued our great time.
We ended our evening with a fantastic firework show. By that time, we were all tired and ready to call it a night!
