Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was lots fun, but came early! Cory was on shift for Christmas Day so we woke up extra early so Cory would have time to enjoy Ella playing with her new things. Ella was not crazy about getting up early and had trouble waking up. Cory said, "Ella...are you ready to see the toys and presents Santa brought you?" Ella immediately sat up, popped open her eyes, and said "I ready!" It was the funniest thing. So we headed into the living room to see what Santa dropped off.

Ella loves babydolls. This one makes noises as you feed it and says "Mama", giggles and cries.

Ella loves to climb on things, so this new playset was perfect!

Ella soon began to call it her "big house".

I love these Christmas cakes, so Cory bought me two boxes. Yikes!! They are already almost gone!

Play-Doh fun! I wasn't sure if Ella would like playing with the play-doh or really understand how to play with it. She loved it and was very good at rolling it out and cutting it. Cory had bought Ella some fun toys to go along with her play-doh. We had to take a break from opening presents so we could try it out.

Ella loved helping us open presents. Cory wanted tickets to go out somewhere, so I bought him Mavericks vs Spurs tickets. He was excited!

More slide time!

Such a cute little mommy to her babies.

It was soon time for Cory to head to work. :( We snapped a few family pictures before he left (I forgot about them until after he already had on his uniform.) We were so glad to have some extra time with him on Christmas morning. The captain that Cory relieves said that he didn't have to come in til 9....so nice and thoughtful!

Pops and Granna came out to see what Ella got for Christmas. She had to show them the slide of course!

And she helped them open a present.

Look at Ella's lip. She was not interested in taking a picture. She wanted to get down to play.
It was such a joy to watch Ella play with her new things. She would always say thank you when she got to open something. She loves her "big house" so much that it still hasn't found its way to the backyard.
