Finally getting my last Christmas post in....whew! The Sunday after Christmas, Cory, Ella and I went out to my parents' house for breakfast with them and Matthew and Theresa. This has become a little tradition for our family. It is our time to spend together as a family and enjoy a slow paced day. It is also the time that we exchange our gifts.
Dad was busy at the stove when we arrived. We had yummy eggs, bacon and biscuits. Mmmm, good! Mom sets the table with her pretty Christmas dishes. The table looks great with the two sets of plates...the small plate on top of the big matching plate. and cute silverware holders. It looks great, then we sit down and......pass the small plates to the end of the table (less to wash since we don't use them) and DIG IN! Haha!!
Cutie pie!
My sweet family.
Ella was very good at helping everyone open their gifts. This year took a little longer than usual. Lol!
How many people does it take to put Ella's babycenter together?
Ella looks like such a big girl in this picture :(
She loves her "Tesa".
Daddy got a bow and Mommy got paper.
Mommy and Ella both got cute jackets for Christmas from Granna and Pops!
TERVIS TUMBLER!!! Matthew shouted this as he opened his present. It cracked us up that he actually knew what kind of cup this was!
Cory, Ella and I didn't get to spend Christmas Eve with my dad's side of the family, so some of them came out to my parents house to hang out with us for the afternoon. It was so fun to see them and visit. Ella of course kept us laughing the whole time!
Another funny story is about the Zhu Zhu Hamster from Aunt Kris and family. It is a little hamster that moves around on the floor when you push its back. Ella would hold the little toy, pet it, and say hi to it but as soon as it was on the floor and moving towards her...she freaked out. She would crawl up into someone's lap or anywhere that would allow her to get her feet off the floor. Once the hamster passed her, she would pick it up again and talk to it like nothing was wrong. I am not sure what was funnier....her or all of our uncontrollable laughter at the situation. As soon as I can get the video shortened, I will upload it.
It was a wonderful end to a wonderful Christmas with our Ella girl and family. We are blessed to have such love around us.
