Halloween Bash

Last night we went to the Halloween Bash at the Blythe's house. We have gone the past 4 years and had lots of fun. This year was a BLAST!! Ella had lots of firsts tonight.

Ella was such a cute cowgirl! She loved her horse. (It was the best $2 spent at a garage sale!)

The Blythe's always rent a bounce house for the party. Ella kept wanting to go back to jump in it. We had to wait our turn because there were kids of all ages at the party. The big kids were great about letting the little kids have their turn for fun. The party was packed this year which added to the fun. I should have counted but there were probably over 50 or so adults and kids at the party.

Mom and Dad weren't going to see Ella trick or treat this year, so they came out to the party too.

They had trunk or treating at the party and it was the greatest idea. I wasn't sure Ella was going to understand the "trick or treating" concept. WRONG! She walked right up to the car and said "trick treat" and held up her bucket. It was hilarious!!

Her bucket was getting quite heavy but she would not let anyone help her carry it.

Ella wasn't even scared of this monster. (Leave it to the firefighter's kiddo to bring out the scary HazMat suit!) She just kept looking at it like "who are you?"

After Ella had made two rounds through the trunk or treating (we would ask her if she was done and she would say no and continue through the cars), she and Garrison sat and tried out their treats.

Time to bob for apples. Ella stood for a long time and watched the big kids. When it was her turn, she walked right up and went straight for the apple.

Pops held the apple still for Ella and she bit right on to the stem and lifted it out.

She was so proud and clapped for herself!

Another first....time for the hayride!

Ella LOVED the hayride. She would yell "Weee!" and clap her hands.

As the kids were being entertained with the bounce house and hayride, the adults were cheering on the Rangers to their first win in the World Series!

It was such a great night! We had so much fun watching Ella have a ball. I can't watch her without grinning from ear to ear. I think she has that effect on many!
