20 months old!

(I started this post a while ago and never finished, so here it is!)
Ella is 20 months old! I can't believe how fast she is growing up. Here are some things she is doing:

• Two of her funny words are "mere" and "mon". Mere is "come here". So she says this when she wants you to come over to her. She says it alot with Belle. She will point to the ground next to her and say "Mere Belle". It is so cute. "Mon" is "come on". She says this when she wants you to go somewhere with her. She will come and pull on your finger and say "mon".


• She loves to color. It sounds like "car" when she says color. She has a little table in her playroom where she sits to color. She doesn't quite have the colors down though. Every thing is "blue". That must be her favorite!


• Lordy, lordy, lordy......we are in trouble. She previously has understood the word no and will stop whatever it was she was doing when you asked her to. Now, she will look at you with a smile and continue doing what you asked her not to do.


• More funnies - she will come sit right beside you and say "hi!" even if you have been sitting beside for 30 mintues. She says it like you jsut sat down or that she just noticed you. Makes us laugh!!

• The girl can put away some snacks or "nacks" as she calls them. We will sit down to dinner and Ella will eat a few bites and then says "all done!" (She still is not eating many fruits and veggies and does not get real adventurous with her food.) We make her stay at the table until we are done and then we will let her get down. As soon as she is down from her chair, she asks for "nacks!" "Ummm, no, because you didn't eat much of your dinner" we say. She is not real happy that we do not give her any snacks and throws a fit for a few minutes and then gets over it.

• She is learning so much!! She has a shape puzzle and can match up all the shapes. I can draw a few shapes for her and she can tell us what they are. And she is curious all the time. She often points to something, looks at you, and waits for you to tell her what it is. She will then repeat the word and go on her merry little way!

• Ella is even starting to put words together into sentences. Now, we have no idea what she is saying but she definitely does.

• And, she LOVES her "b". This is what she calls her blanket. It is not a pleasant thing to end up somewhere without one. I have learned my lesson on carrying a back-up "b"!

Oh Ella......you are the light of our lives!!! You make us smile and laugh every day. Right now you give the sweetest hugs and kisses. You even give zerberts! You are so caring and make sure to say bye to whoever is leaving or if you are leaving. You make others smile and you just light up a room. We love you so much Sweet Pea!!!!
