Wednesday, July 6 Cory and I headed South! We wanted to go somewhere for our anniversary that we both enjoyed, but would be fairly inexpensive. We decided on the river! We had such a great time hanging out together. We stayed in a bed and breakfast and it was so comfortable. They had a pool, which was nice in the crazy heat, and they had the most delicious breakfast every morning!
On our first morning, we headed to Wimberley to ride the zip lines. So fun!!!
Of course we had to go to Gruene Hall. I loved that we were there during the week for the first part of our trip. Gruene was not very crowded so we were able to enjoy walking around the town and listening to great music at Gruene Hall.
River Road Icehouse was a fun place to hang too!
River time! The Guadalupe River was really low so we floated on the Comal River.
Cory had to try the “Do Not Enter without a tube” rapids…without a tube.
Dinner at Clear Springs was a must!
Cory and I have never had a couple’s massage, so we treated ourselves on our anniversary date. Fabulous!
Later that evening we headed over to Lazy L&L to hang out with some of our favorite people!! Rodney and Margie have added a dance hall and bar&grill area. So fun!!
Cory loved the big fan!!
One of the last stops we made was to Brewster’s. It is owned by San Fransisco 49er Bruce Collie. Such a neat place with delicious pizza!!
Bruce and his dad washing dishes. His dad kept trying to wash the dishes, and Bruce would go over and try to make him stop. It was sweet to watch them work together. All of Bruce’s children work here….I can’t remember how many he has, but it is in the double digits. They were the most kind, polite, hard working children I have ever met!
We had an amazing time, but were definitely ready to get home for Ella squeezes!
