Cory's favorite Aunt Jannie!!

Many of you already know that we lost Jan Seely (Cory's aunt, JoAnn's sister) this week. She was bit by a tick and started to feel sick a few days later, but just thought it was the flu. They eventually discovered that she had Rockly Mountain Spotted Fever. Things went very fast and we lost a very special extraordinary woman. Tomorrow we are celebrating the life of Jan Seely! We have been with the family since Wednesday afternoon. There have been good moments where people are laughing and there have been not so good moments when everyone is very very sad. It was all so sudden. I wanted to share some fun photos that capture exactly who Jan was.

She was someone who had an amazing heart, lived life to the fullest, and made sure her loved ones knew how much she loved them. One of her sons said that it has been amazing to hear people come in and say, "Jan was my best friend." He said he has heard that 100 times this week. That is how special Jan made you feel. If your life was touched by Jan, you were one lucky person. I am so happy to have known her, hugged her, laughed with her, made memories with her, and have her hold my little girl.

Jan loved her family!! Her 5 year old grandson made us laugh this week. He was having a hard time understanding that God would make something that would hurt his GiGi so he said the devil was the one who made the tick. He said he was going to find the devil and "headbutt him and kick him in the family jewels." Now isn't that one for being honest! Ha Ha.

So in honor of Jan, hug your family and friends tight and make sure your loved ones know how special they are to you!! Celebrate life each and every day!
