This past weekend we headed to Oklahoma for a couple of reasons. Cory's Uncle Larry is retiring and so his kiddos threw him a surprise retirement party. We also wanted to visit Cory's grandparents. Ella is their only great grandchild, and they just eat her up. Cory has 2 brothers and his 2 cousins are boys, so having a little girl running around their house is a real treat! We headed out around 7:45 Saturday morning. Ella was set with her "B", Elmo and movies! Larry's retirement party was at a place called Chicken and Chops. We were in a fun little room that had a pool table. The kids were easily entertained with rolling the pool balls back and forth to each other. Luckily, only one finger got smashed.

Trip to Oklahoma
Ella and JoJo saying cheese!
Ella getting a little lift from Connor.
All the pool playing wore her out!
Phil, JoAnn, Larry and Don.... Larry was sharing memories and photos of a vacation he had just taken. He is doing really well. You can't think of Larry and not immediately think of Jan. It still brings tears to my eyes to think that Jan is no longer with our family. She was such a special lady and we all miss her dearly. There were conversations about Jan throughout the day. One thing that makes us laugh all the time is that everyone introduces themselves as 'Hi, I am _____, Jan's best friend." Jan made you feel that special!
The kids playing a little game of Bingo. I love little Sophia with her sunglasses on her head.
My cutie pie in her pigtails. I thought she looked adorable.
"Roll the ball to me please!"
A little Claborn family squeeze!
After the party, we headed over to Grandma and Granddad's house. They have a grandfather clock in their house and Ella loved it. JoAnn would let her know when it was about to chime and Ella would run over to listen and watch it.
Cory and his Grandma enjoying some time together. Grandma was not having a great day, and it was hard to see that she wasn't doing well. We love her so much and hope she feels better soon.
We went to Johnny's for dinner. Ella had been carrying this purse around all day and of course Granddad and Poppa had given her money to put in it. She was so excited to figure out that money went in the machine and candy came out! We had a great day visiting with family. I can't wait to post pictures of our trip to Arbuckle Wilderness!!
